A. Have you seen the US Air Force’s new fighter plane?
B. Yeah, the one with stealth capabilities?
A. That’s right, it’s invisible to radar.
B. Wow, that’s really cutting edge. Its enemies won’t know the plane’s coming.

A. Wow, your mobile phone’s really state-of-the-art.
B. Here, let me show you its features. It can record 60 minute video clips, play mp3 files, connect to the Internet, and has a camera with 4x zoom.
A. Wow, I envy your phone. I think I’ll buy one for myself.

A. You know, good jobs nowadays require you to be computer literate.
B. You’re right. It’s hard for people who are computer illiterate to find decent jobs.
A. And in the past, people who knew a lot about computers were called nerds and geeks. They were often laughed at.
B. It’s ironic that being a “geek” is suddenly important nowadays right?
